The customers who already said yes once
Every service business has a list it isn't working: past customers, last spring's estimates, the system you installed eight years ago.
None of these people need convincing that you're good. They've already hired you, or nearly did. They know your name, they've seen your truck, and many of them would rather call you than start over with someone new.
One plain message
You don't need a campaign. One personal message is enough:
"It's been a while since we looked at your system. Want us to check it before winter?"
Or for an old estimate: "We quoted your deck repair last spring. Is that still on your list? Happy to update the price."
It brings work back without a dollar spent on ads, and it fills slow weeks with customers who are easy to work with.
Where to start
- Export last year's customers and estimates from whatever you use: your job software, QuickBooks or even your phone.
- Pick the ones where timing makes sense now: heating before winter, gutters before the rain, decks before spring.
- Send ten messages this week. Track who answers.
When did your shop last contact its past customers on purpose? If the answer is "I'm not sure," that's your first job this week.
Our free check looks at how your business answers and follows up with people who reach out, and it comes with fixes you can make yourself.
